This is a personal project I started in february and completed this week (june). I worked approximatelly 10 hours on this illustration. I was inspired by a picture I found on the web of an old man with his smoking pipe. My goal was to acheive an illustration of a person using only photoshop. I painted it all, after tracing the outline. I started in black and white, then at the end I colored it using a color layer. I indeed thought about Gandalf when I added the birds in the smoke...
I'm quite happy about the result.
